Mackay Hearing is thrilled to introduce two new team members – Josephine Murphy and Simone Spencer. Josephine and Simone provide client support services, so these are the friendly faces to the voices you’ll be speaking with when you contact us.
Josephine and Simone are both lovely, knowledgeable, professional and always up for a chat. They fit right into Mackay Hearing’s ethos of client-focused service.
Josephine (right in the photo above) has lived with hearing impairment since birth. Josephine’s firsthand knowledge of hearing loss gives her excellent insight into what people with hearing impairment experience.
Josephine has also experienced her young daughter’s diagnosis of a significant permanent hearing loss.
Drawing on her own personal journey, Josephine is passionate about supporting people with hearing loss as well as their families and support networks.
Josephine is a born and bred Pioneer Valley girl, and is raising her young family in Finch Hatton.
Simone (left) has a wealth of experience working with hearing aids. She can fix almost any basic hearing aid issue and she has extensive knowledge on hearing aid maintenance and preparing clients for hearing appointments. Simone has a great deal of empathy for people and she is furthering this by studying social work at our local Central Queensland University campus.
Simone also lives in the Pioneer Valley, and is raising her young family in Marian.
Principal audiologist and director Jodie Miles was excited to welcome the two new staff members to the Mackay Hearing team.
“Thanks to the support of our valued local clients, we have been able to provide new employment for two locals. We are very proud of this, given the challenging economic conditions”, Jodie said.
“I am also excited that welcoming two new high quality team members will only improve our already exceptional levels of service”.
