Mackay Hearing was delighted to be involved in this year’s Mackay Seniors Expo.
Run by Mackay Regional Council, the expo is a key event in Senior’s week. Almost 2000 interested seniors browsed over 80 stalls and seminars run by a diverse range of organisations.
This year’s expo was held in the “Big Shed” at the Showgrounds and expo attendees and stallholders certainly enjoyed this spacious facility.
Principal audiologist and director Jodie Miles was excited to be involved in the expo again, after a successful appearance at the 2016 event.
“This is an important week – as well as being Seniors Week it’s also Hearing Awareness Week. This makes it all the more important to get out in our community and raise awareness on the importance of hearing health” Ms Miles said.
“I am pleased to say we haven’t stopped talking to familiar and new faces all morning. I am so pleased with the interest people have in their hearing”.
“I commend Mackay Regional Council in organising a well-run, diverse and well-supported event. The move to the Showgrounds was a good one – this popular event has outgrown the Senior Citizens Centre” Ms Miles said.
“Mackay Hearing is proud to be active in raising awareness on hearing health in our community”.
