Hear With You - March Meeting

If you or a loved one is managing hearing loss and haven’t been to a Hear With You meeting – why not check out our March meeting celebrating WHD and HAW!

Hear With You is a local support group for people managing hearing loss. Peer support is an important part of treating hearing loss. Hear With You meetings are completely free and open to anyone with hearing loss and their partners / support people.

The group is informal – no applications or RSVPs required for meetings and you don’t have to be a Mackay Hearing client. If you would like to attend, just come to Souths on the day.

Hear With You Mackay’s March meeting will be held between 10.00am and 12.00pm on Monday 14 March at Souths Leagues Club – 181 Milton Street, South Mackay.

A note on COVID

While we are mindful of the continued presence of COVID in our community, we strongly believe that other (‘non-COVID’) health matters should not be ignored at this time. Hearing health is incredibly important to physical and mental health and quality of life.

If you are feeling well and would like your hearing screened, please be assured our hearing screens will be conducted as safely as practical:

  • We will continue to monitor the COVID situation and adhere to all government health directives and venue requirements
  • Clients are asked not to attend screening venues if they are experiencing COVID symptoms
  • Clients will be required to socially distance at screen venues – in waiting and testing areas
  • Hand sanitising facilities will be provided at all screen venues and participants encouraged to sanitise hands upon arrival and after screens
  • Contact points in the testing area will be sanitised between each screen
  • Mackay Hearing team members carrying out the screens are triple vaccinated and will be wearing face masks

If you would like further information or wish to make an appointment, please contact our friendly local staff directly on (07) 4952 4649, email us at listening@mackayhearing.com.au, or leave us a message on our website.
